The need for advocacy to increase quality health care access for the most vulnerable Georgians
has never been greater. Help us make a difference.

Health Disparities in Georgia

Compared to the rest of the country, Georgians experience more health problems and poorer access to health care.

Georgia has the 6th highest uninsured rate in the country, with 19% or 1,859,000 Georgians living without health insurance (500,000 of whom could gain access to Medicaid if Georgia expanded Medicaid).

Georgia ranks 38th out of 50 states in overall health status as per the America’s Health Rankings, and ranks 44th out of 50 states on State Health System Performance for Low-Income Populations.
